Strikeforce alums will meet at UFC 164 in a Lightweight contest as Ryan Couture (6-2) welcomes Quinn Mulhern (18-3) a former welterweight to the 155lbs. weight class.
Both men will be looking for their first UFC win after disappointing results in their promotional debuts.
At UFC on Fuel TV 9 Ryan Couture would suffer a 2nd round TKO loss to Ross Pearson, ending a 4 fight winning streak; in which Couture defeated Maka Watson (MD), Conor Heun (TKO), Joe Duarte (SD), and KJ Noons (SD).
Quinn Mulhern at UFC 158 faced “The Horror” Rick Story and was stopped by TKO in the 1st round, putting to end what had been a 3 fight winning streak; putting to end what had been a 3 fight winning streak over Danny Davis Jr. (SUB), David Hulett (UD), and Yuri Villefort.
UFC 64 takes place on august 31 at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and is headlined by TJ Grant Challenging Benson “Smooth” Henderson for the UFC Lightweight title.
