Jackson’s/Winkeljon’s fighter John “The Magician” Dodson has his next fight and it will be at UFC 166, as he welcomes to the octagon Millennia MMA’s Darrell “The Mongoose” Montague (13-2).
This will be the first time Dodson is back in action since a unanimous decision loss, in a failed attempt to take the UFC Flyweight title from Demetrious Johnson. The loss ended a 5 fight winning streak in which “The Magician” did have TKO wins over TJ Dillashaw and Jussier da Silva. Dodson has 6 of 8 stoppage wins by KO/TKO.
Since a 2011 submission loss to Ian McCall, Montague has defeated Kenny McClairm (SUB), Taylor McCorriston (TKO), Mamoru Yamaguchi (SD), and Jesse Miramontes (SUB) consecutively. “The Mongoose” has 10 win by stoppage split in half by KO/TKO and submission.
UFC 166 takes place on October 19th, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The event is headlined by Junior dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez III.
