RFA has announced that a broken hand has sideline James Wilson (2-0), who will be replaced by Lew Polley (12-4) against Steve Mocco (2-0) at RFA 9; in a Heavyweight bout.
Mocco a member of the 2008 Olympic wrestling team, now trains with American Top Team and has submitted Tyler Perry and Rashad Brooks in his first two MMA contests.
Polley was expected to face Hans Stringer in a Light heavyweight at this past Friday’s WSOF 4, came in way over weight and the fight was canceled. Polley who is coming off of consecutive decision wins over Carmelo Marrero and Mike Smith.
RFA 9 takes place on August 16th, at the Stubhub Center in Los Angeles, California. The main event will see Pedro Munhoz battle Pat Curran to become the inaugural RFA Bantamweight champion.
