Koscheck-Josh-UFC106-2

A Welterweight match-up of wrestlers with knockout power has been added to UFC 167 with former UFC title challenger Josh Koscheck (17-7) squaring off with former Strikeforce title challenger Tyron Woodley (11-2).

Koscheck comes into this bout having lost the last two times he’s fought, dropping a split decision to Johnny Hendricks and being knocked out by Robbie Lawler. Koscheck was expected to face Demian Maia at UFC 163, but withdrew from the bout due to injury.

Woodley since coming over from Strikeforce is 1-1, defeating Jay Heiron in 36 seconds with a devastating knockout; and is now looking regain that form after dropping a boring split decision to Jake Shields.

UFC 167 takes place on November 16, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main event will see Johnny Hendricks challenging Georges St. Pierre for the UFC Welterweight title.
