Bellator 102 adds Silva vs. Leone & Johnson vs. Queiroz

Bellator MMA has announced that two semifinals and one tournament final will take place at Bellator 102.

The two semifinals are for the season 9 Heavyweight tournament with the moved from Bellator 101, now Bellator 102 main event of Cheick Kongo (18-8-2) vs. Mark Godbeer (8-1) and Vinicius “Spartan” Queiroz (6-3) vs. “Big” Lavar Johnson (17-7).

The tournament final on the event will be the 2013 Summer Series Bantamweight tournament with Rafael Silva (20-3) vs. Anthony Leone (12-5). Silva ran his winning streak to 12 with a submission victory over Rodrigo Lima in the semifinals. Leone at the same Bellator 98 also submitted Frank Baca to earn his way to the tournament finals.

Kongo comes into his promotional debut looking to bounce back from a UFC 159 knockout loss to Roy Nelson.

Godbeer after his first professional loss to Anthony Taylor, most recently got back in the winners column with a TKO victory over Catalin Zmarandescu at BAMMA 9.

Queiroz returns to action for the first since a TKO loss to Alexander Volkov at Bellator 80 in the season 7 tournament semifinals.

Johnson will be looking to get back in the win column in his promotional debut after consecutive losses to Sefan Struve (SUB) and Brendan Schaub (UD) led to his release from the UFC.

Bellator 102 takes place on October 4th, at the Visalia Convention Center in Visalia, California.
