Featherweight Semifinals at Bellator 103
Following the completion of Bellator 99 and the Featherweight tournament Quarterfinals, it has been announced that the Semifinal round will take place at Bellator 103 on October 11 at the Kansas Star Casino in Wichita, Kansas
The two semifinal match ups will see Justin Wilcox (12-5) vs. Joe Taimaglo (19-4-1) & Patricio Freire (19-2) vs. Fabricio Guerreiro (18-2).
Wilcox in the quarterfinals after having his left leg beaten and even taking a heel to the back of the head prevailed to submit Akop Stepanyan with a rear naked choke.
Joe Taimaglo in the quarterfinals used big powerful punches to score the decision victory over Andrew Fischer.
Experience prove a big advantage to Fabricio Guerreiro who advance with a unanimous decision win over Desmond Green.
Former title challenger and tournament winner Patricio Freire with a knockout of Diego Nunes in the quarterfinals proved why he’s was the favorite coming into this tournament.
