Hawn & Keslar Fill Vacant Tournament Spots at Bellator 100

Rick Hawn (15-2) and Ron Kelsar (9-3) have stepped up on very short notice replacing injured Matt Riddle (7-3-0, 2 nc) and Mark Scanlon in Bellator’s season 9 Welterweight tournament; which starts off with the quarterfinals at Bellator 100 this Friday September 20th.

Hawn a season 4 Welterweight Tournament finalist also won the season 6 Lightweight tournament. Hawn would loose his title bid, being submitted at Bellator 85 by champion Michael Chandler. Hawn back at Welterweight is coming off a knockout win over Karo Parisyan at Bellator 95. Hawn will face Herman Terrado (11-2) who is currently on a 7 fight winning streak. Terrado has never been to the decision with 7 KO/TKO’s and 4 submissions accounting for his 11 wins.

Ron Kelsar will bring a 4 fight win streak into his Bellator debut, most recently coming off a decision win over Dominic Waters. The American Kickboxing Academy fighter has 4 of 5 stoppage wins by submission. Across the cage from Kelsar will be Luis Melo who has won 6 consecutive contests; including submitting Trey Houston at Bellator 94 with an Arm-Triangle choke.

Bellator 100 takes place on September 20th, at the Grand Cayon University Arena in Phoenix. Arizona and the main event will feature the season 8 Welterweight tournament finals of Ben Saunders vs. Douglas Lima
