Glory Inks Mirko Cro Cop
Glory the worlds top kickboxing promotion has announced the signing of K-1, Pride, and UFC Heavyweight vet Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic (kickboxing 22-7, 12 KO’s) (mma 28-11-2-1,nc).
“Cro Cop” since parting way with the UFC in 2011 has gone 6-0 in kickboxing and 1-1 in mma. In kickboxing Filipovic has defeated Rey Sefo, Pavel Zhuravlev, and Ismael Londt, not to mention winning the the K-1 Grand Prix. The Grand Prix win was in March most recently Filipovic was submitted in an MMA match by Alexey Oleinik.
Glory has made no official announcement about “Cro Cop’s” promotional debut but it is rumored that the opponent will Remy Bonjasky, in March of 2014.
