Manuwa Inserted vs. Gustafsson

NOTTINGHAM, ENGLAND, SEPTEMBER 28, 2012: Jimi Manuwa during the official weigh-in for "UFC on Fuel TV: Struve vs. Miocic" inside Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, United Kingdom on Friday, Septermber 28, 2012

Injury woes have slowed down Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (21-5), the beneficiary of the misfortune is Jimi “Poster Boy” Manuwa (14-0) who will have his biggest stage, in the biggest fight of his life against former title challenger Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson (15-2).

This is the second time that Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Alexander Gustafsson had been announced, and will not happen due to a Nogueira injury.

The undefeated Englishmen, Manuwa has 13 of 14 wins by (T)KO and has never gone the distance. Forget going the distance “Poster Boy” has 10 wins in round 1. In 3 UFC bouts Manuwa has TKO wins over Kyle Kingsbury, Cyrille Diabate, and Ryan Jimmo.

Gustafsson will be returning to action for the first time since going five tough rounds against Jon Jones in the best title bout in UFC history, in my opinion. The loss ended a 6 fight win streak that included stoppage wins over Cyrille Diabate, James Te Huna, Matt Hamill, and Valdimir Matushenko. “The Mauler” has 9 of 12 stoppage win by (T)KO and has 8 first round wins of his own.

UFC Fight Night London takes place on March 8, at the O2 Arena in London, England.
