Newly Signed Benoit & Sampo Battle at The TUF 18 Finale
The UFC has announced a late addition to the November 30th, TUF 18 Finale with newly signed fighters Ryan “Baby Face” Benoit (7-2) and Josh “The Gremlin” Sampo (10-2) meeting in a Flyweight clash.
Benoit has fought twice in 2013 going 1-1, with the loss coming against Anthony Birchak in what is a 2013 fight of the year candidate. Benoit rebounded from the loss with a 1st round TKO of Cody Fuller at Legacy FC 24. Benoit who has spent most of his career as a Bantamweight, has all 7 of his wins by stoppage with 6 coming by (T)KO.
Sampo who in moving to the UFC vacates the CFA Flyweight title, has won 4 fights in a row over Carson Gainey (SUB), Antonio Banuelos (UD), Alexis Vila (SUB), and Sam Thao (UD). Sampo has 5 wins by stoppage all by submission.
The TUF 18 Finale takes place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas Nevada; headlined by Grey Maynard vs. Nate Diaz.
