With a Diaz turning the fight and a lot of texting Tyron Woodley (12-2) has got his wish of facing “The Natural Born Killer” Carlos Condit (29-7) at UFC 171.
American Top Teams’ Woodley is 2-2 in his last 4 fights after starting his career 10-0, having been knocked out by Nate Marquardt, Knocking out Jay Hieron, being bettered by decision by Jake Shields, and most recently knocking out Josh Koscheck.
The former UFC interim Welterweight champion, Condit a member of the Jackson’s/Winkeljohn’s gym is also 2-2 in his last four, having decision-ed Nick Diaz to become the interim title holder; wish was the 5th of a 5 fight winning streak. Since then Condit has lost consecutive decisions to Georges St. Pierre and Johny Hendricks, but most recently bounced back by knocking out Martin Kampmann in the 4th round of the UFC Fight Night 27 main event.
UFC 171 takes place on March 15, at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas; headlined by Johnny “Bigg Rigg” Hendricks battling “Ruthless” Robbius Lawler for the vacant UFC Welterweihght title.
