Kevin Croom Going for 9th in a Row

After having picked up his life in Missouri and having moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico to train; you could say that Kevin Croom is used to being a road warrior. His next bout will be his biggest test trip. On December 20th in Kazakahstan, Russia, Kevin Croom (12-4) will take on Aslan Tokarbaev (6-1) in the main event of “Uil Maidan 2”; which translates to “Great Battle 2”.

Croom who trains at Jackson’s/Winkeljohn’s, Luttrells MMA, ABQ Kickboxing, Barra Garcie BJJ, Danny Romero’s Hideout and with Momma D’s Dungeon; has won 8 fights in a row. “The Hard Hitting Hillbilly” has 8 wins by submission with 6 by rear naked choke including using the RNC to claim 4 of his last 5 wins. During his 8 fight win streak Croom has won 6 of the bouts by stoppage all in the 1st round. Being a road warrior Croom while training in the 505, has 4 times travel to Missouri and once to Florida to compete.

Tokarbaev who will have the home town advantage has won consecutive bouts over Dmitriy Shapoval (KO) and Asker Baragunov (UD), since suffering a TKO loss to Roldan Sangch’an. Tokarbaev has 4 stoppage wins all in the 1st round with 2 KO’s and 2 submissions.
