Triple A MMAexecutives announced today that Charles Byrd (5-3) has pulled out of his Triple A MMA IV ‘Caged Hostility’ main event bout against Mike Bronzoulis (15-6-1). Brandon Farran (10-8)has stepped in on short notice to take on the Fight Master reality star. Triple AMMA IV ‘Caged Hostility’ will take place on January 16, 2014 at the historic Cowtown Coliseum Stockyards Rodeo in Forth Worth, TX.

According to Sal Mora, Director of Operations and Match Maker for Triple A MMA, “According to his camp, Byrd suddenly came down with ‘flu like’ symptoms and therefore had to pull out of his bout with Bronzoulis. Yet shortly after we learned that Byrd had committed to a bout on another Texas promotions card, an event set for February. As a result of our findings, we have filed a complaint with the TDLR and are working towards a resolution, be it by a suspension or buyout of some sort.  It’s unfortunate, but a situation we sometimes face in combat sports.

Bronzoulis is coming off being a finalist on the Bellator/Spike TV reality show Fight Master. In the finals at Bellator 106 “The Greek” fell short of his goal losing to Joe Riggs by unanimous decision; ending a 2 fight winning streak.

Farran is coming off a submission loss to Brian Grinnell, that ended a 3 fight winning streak in which Farran stopped Aaron Davis (TKO), Jason Anderson (SUB), and Andre Kavanaugh (TKO); to bounce back from a 3 fight skid.

In addition while not officially confirmed, Javier Palacios has posted on Facebook “To all my people I’m sorry had an accident that made me pull out of this fight I’m sorry I would never fake an injury I’ve fought hurt before but nothing like this.”

Palacios (2-0) was scheduled to be in the evenings co-main event against Matthew Hunt (4-3).
