Courchaine vs. Minu Headlines 9 Bout XFC International 1- Brazil Card
The XFC (Xtreme Fighting Championships) is going global starting with XFC International 1- Brazil on February 8, in Sao Paulo, Brazil; headlined by “Insane” Dave Courchaine vs. Thiago “Minu” Meller.
Courchaine had a 8 fight winning streak ended by a XFC 24, debut knockout loss to Luis Santos, but bounced back to knockout Alexander Trevino at XFC 27.
Since a pair of decision losses to big show vets Justin Buchholz and Anton Kuivanen, Meller has won 4 fights in a row over Gabriel Soule (SUB), Santiago Cao (TKO), Chris Saunders (UD), and Favio Martino (SUB).
Also there will be the quarterfinal round of an 8-man Lightweight tournament to crown the Lightweight champion of XFC Latino who will then challenge XFC Lightweight champion Scott “Hot Sauce” Hotlzman (6-0). The same idea is also being put together for the Women’s Flyweight division with the winner getting to challenge champion Pearl Gonzalez (2-1).
