Replacing the jailed and released from the promotion, Thiago Silva at UFC 170, will be dropping from Heavyweight to Light Heavyweight, Russian Nikita Krylov (16-3); who will tangle with Ovince St. Perux (14-5).

Silva after an altercation at a Florida Jiu Jitsu school is in jail without bond, for allegedly threatening the schools owner, who is said to be in a relationship; with Silva’s estranged wife.

Krylov bounced back from a promotional debut TKO loss to Soa Palelei, with a 25 second TKO of Walt Harris, at UFC on Fox 10.

UFC 171 takes place on March 15, at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas; headlined by Johny “Bigg Rigg” Hendricks and “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler for the vacant UFC Welterweight title.
