Barroso Withdraws, Narvaez faces Cummins at UFC Fight Night Albuquerque
Instead of challenging Bubba Bush for the Legacy Middleweight title on June 14. Roger Narvaez (6-0) on June 7, will make his octagon debut up a weight class replacing Francimar Barroso (16-5); against Patrick Cummins (4-1); at UFC Fight Night Albuquerque.
Barroso was looking to get back in the win column coming off a split decision loss to Hans Stringer, that ended a 4 fight win streak.
Narvaez, nicknamed “The Silverback” is coming off a Legacy 23 promotional debut debut split decision win over Hayward Charles. Narvaez a Texas native has 3 of 5 stoppages by (T)KO.
Cummins is coming off a short notice TKO loss to Daniel Cormier in the co- main event of UFC 170. Cummins in his first 4 MMA bouts won all 4 in the 1st round with 2 TKO’s and 2 submissions.
UFC Fight Night Albuquerque take place at New Mexico’s Tingley Coliseum on June 7; and is headlined by Rustam “Tiger” Khabilov against former UFC Lightweight champion Benson “Smooth” Henderson.
