Cavalcante vs. Guillard added to WSOF 11
The newest bout added to WSOF 11 is at Lightweight with Gesias Cavalcante (18-7-1) welcoming recently signed, UFC vet and former training partner Melvin Guillard (31-13-2) to the decagon.
Cavalcante is 2-1 in WSOF action with wins over TJ O’Brien (SUB) and Tyson Griffin (TKO), while having tasted defeat at the hands of Justin Gaethje (TKO).
Guillard since a 5 fight winning streak ended in 2011 is (2-5-0, 1nc). In his last 3 fights Guillard knocked out Mac Danzig, hit Ross Pearson with a illegal knee because he was grounded causing a no contest, and was released from the UFC following a bad performance; in a unanimous decision loss to Michael Johnson.
WSOF 11 takes place on July 5th, a venue and location for the event has not been announced yet. Headlining the event will be Nick Newell challenging Justin Gaethje for the WSOF Lightweight title.
