UFC Fight Night Auckland on June 28th has gained a Light Heavyweight tilt changed by injury and has gained a Heavyweight encounter.
Anthony “The Hippo” Perosh (14-8) is injured and instead Sean O’Connell (15-5) will step in to meet Gian Villante (11-5). O’Connell is coming off an on short notice, 1st rpound knock out loss to Ryan Jimmo, while Villante is 1-2 in last 3; and coming off a unanimous decision loss to Fabio Maldonado.
Soa “The Hulk” Palelei (21-3) will look to continue growing his 11 fight, all by (T)KO, winning streak, when he meets Jared “The Big Show” Rosholt (10-1); who has won 6 consecutive bouts. Palelei in his second run in the UFC has defeated Nikita Krylov, Pat Barry, and Ruan Potts. Rosholt in two UFC bouts has decision wins over Walt Harris and Daniel Omielanczuk.
UFC Fight Night Auckland, in New Zealand on June 28 at the Vector Arena is headlined by a Middleweight tussle between James Te Huna and Nate Marqudart.
