Stepping in and stepping up on short notice Andrew Tenneson (2-0) will replace Robbie Gutierrez, on very short notice in the main event of Jackson’s MMA XII against Prentice Ingram (8-3).

After a 4-0 amateur career Tenneson made his pro debut at the end of Macrh submitting Tom Cruz, at Cage Wars XVII, in under 2 minutes.

Ingram has been a pro for almost 5 years and has won 4 of his last 5 fights, coming off a unanimous decision win over Isaiah Reyez; bouncing back from a submission loss to Vince Eazelle. Ingram has 8 wins by stoppage with 5 coming by submission.

When asked, what inspires you to take such a tough fight, in a main event on such short notice?

Andrew Tennesson said “I want to challenge myself to be a better fighter and person than I am. Prentice Ingram seems to be a better fighter than me, fighting him will ‘help me grow’.”

How in just a weeks time do u prepare for a fight like this?

Andrew Tennesson said “I always try to stay fit and I’m always working on technique. I won’t be where I would be if I had more time to prepare but that’s a hypothetical. I’m ready and the best fighter I have ever been.”

Andrew also wanted to thank Jon Sparks, Mike Asmar, Christ Lutrell, and Johann Perez have helped me a ton. The whole gym and coaching staff at Jacksons too.

Jackson’s MMA Series XVII is at the Pueblo Convention Center in Peublo Colorado, on May 31.
