There has been no official word or announcement from the promotion but on facebook it’s been posted that on August 30th Chavez-Crespin promotions will be hosting their first event at the newly renovated Sports Complex near 5 Points in Albuquerque’s South Valley.
Here is the facebok post – “August 30th at South Valley’s own Sports Complex near 5 Points in Albuquerque Chavez Promotions is doing a boxing promotion with Josh Torres vs TBA, Arturo Crespin from Las Vegas, New Mexico vs TBA, Alex Holguin of Albuquerque vs TBA plus 2 more fights to be announced soon.”
Josh Pitbull” Torres (13-3, 6 ko) is 6-2 in his last 8,and is coming off a 2nd round knockout of Francisco Lira in the main event of May 31st Dia de Johnny Tapia event.
Las Vegas New Mexico’s Arturo “Le Torro” Crespin (11-3-1, 1nc 4KO) is the winner of 4 of his last 5 coming off a split decision win over Julio Cesar Lanzas at the Chavez Promotions Fights at Pal Auditorium event.
Alex Holguin (1-1) also scored a win at the Chavez Promotions Fights at Pal Auditorium event, defeating Brandon Salazar by unanimous decision, but will be looking to rebound from a decision loss in Phoenix to Emmanuel Nieves.
