RFA 18 in Albuquerque Headlined by Joby Sanchez vs. Matt Manzanares
For the first time, on September 12th Resurrection Fighting Alliance will set up their octagon in New Mexico, with RFA 18 taking place at the Albuquerque Convention Center; with a 11 bout card topped by a Flyweight title bout.
The main event will see Jackson MMA’s undefeated Joby Sanchez, coming off a 2nd round TKO on Antonio Banuelos, challenges Matt Manzanares for the RFA Flyweight title. Manzanares has won 3 of his last 4, including winning the vacant RFA Flyweight by split decision over Junior Maranhao.
A three o of fighters representing Fit NHB are on the main card Abel Cullum, Brenda Gonzales, and Evan Delong. Cullum will be returning to action for the first time in 3 years, looking to end a 3 fight skid against UFC vet Ulysses Gomez, who has lost 2 in a row. Gonzales is still awaiting an opponent to be named, but Gonzales will be fighting in MMA for the first time since May of 2013, when she was submitted by Rin Nakai at at Pancraser 247 and also suffered an dislocated elbow. DeLong, who is 6-1 in his last 7, coming off submitting Johnny Davis Jr. collides with Black House MMA’s Muay Thia world champion fellow Lightweight Mehdi Bagdad and his 5 fight win streak.
In the Welterweight division Chidi Njokuani who has 8 of 10 win by knock out takes on Steve Hanna who won 5 in a row with 4 consecutive submissions.
Judgement MMA’s Adrian Cruz coming off of fighting to a draw with Enrique Briones at Legacy 30 will face winner of 4 in a row Joey Miolla.
Not on the main card is the last remaining pro bout that will see Fit NHB’s Tim Sosa, coming off a 1st round TKO of Allan Lerma take on Perez Fighting Systems Ronnie White who is looking halt a 5 fight skid.
