It’s been a crazy for the biggest MMA promotion in the world. WE hhave fights announced co-main events changed by injuries and the adventur at the UFC 177 weigh-ins.

August 18- Mirsad Bektic (8-0) out and instead Clay Collard (13-4) meets Max Holloway (9-3) at UFC Fight Night 49 in 4 days.

August 18- Richard Odoms (8-1) is injured and not able to face Ruslan Magomdeov (12-1) at UFC 177 and a replacement will not be sought out.

August 19- A Lightweight bout pitting Cain Carrizosa (6-0) vs. Chris Wade (7-1) is a late addition to UFC 177, on August 30th in Sacramento, California .

August 19- Larissa Pacheco (10-0) will make her octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 51 as a replacement for Valerie Letourneau (6-3), on September 13th, against fellow Brazilian Bantamweight Jessica Andrade (11-3).

August 19- Once upon a time TJ Grant was goint to challenge fro the UFC Lightweight title at UFC 164. A concussion during training has sidelined Grant since. Positive news is coming tho, Grant is targeting a fall return to action.

August 19- Bellator MMA had released Lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez (25-3), who right away signed with the UFC. The UFC then decided to PULL Bobby Green (23-5) out of UFC 178, so that Alvarez can meet Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone (24-6) in the co-main event of UFC 178 on September 27th.

August 20- After debuting at Lightweight, losing by TKO from a knee injury,to Yosdenis Cedeno, at UFC Fight night 45; Jerrod Sanders (14-2) will drop 2 weight classes to Bantamweight to meet former RFA Bantamweight champion Pedro Munhoz (11-1) at UFC Fight Night 54.

August 26- Chan Sung Jung (13-4) due to a shooulder injury, has been forced out of the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 53 against Akira Corassani (12-4)

August 26- The UFC’s first trip to Mecixo will be UFC 180 on November 15. The event sold out in 8 hours once tickets went on sale. That event has also adde 4 new bouts with at Welterweight TUF 17 winner Kelvin Gastelum (9-0) vs. Jake Ellenberger (29-8), at Lightweight TUF 1 winner Diego Sanchez (25-7) vs. TUF Smashes winner Norman Parke (20-2-1), at Featherweight number 5 ranked challenger Ricardo Lamas (14-3) meets number 8 ranked Dennis Bermudez (14-3) and at Bantamweight Marcus Brumage (6-3) takes on Erik Perez (14-6) also welterweight Augusto Montano (13-1) will make his promotional debut against an opponent to be named.

August 26- Joseph Benavidez (20-4) vs. Dustin Ortiz (14-3) added to UFC Fight Night 57 on November 22 in Austin Texas.

August 26- Page Van Zant (3-1) vs. Kailin Curran (3-0) has been moved from UFC Fight Night 54 to UFC Fight Night 57, moving from October 4 to November 22

August 26- Andre Fili (13-2) is injured and instead Chas Skelly (12-1) will take on Sean Soriano (8-1) at UFC Fight Night 50 on September 5.

August 27- Matt Wiman (15-7) vs. Isaac Vallis-Flagg (14-5-1) added to UFC Fight Night 57

August 28- Light Heavyweights Rafael Cavalcante (12-5) and Ovince St. Preux (16-6) will meet at UFC Fight Night 56 in Brazil on November 8

August 28- At Flyweight Patrick Holohan (10-0-1) will meet Louis Gauginot (6-3) at UFC Fight Nihgt 54 in October.

August 28- Max Holloway (10-3) will replace Chan Sung Jung in the UFC Fight Night 53 co-main evnent against Akira Corassani (12-4) on October 4th in Sweden.

August 29- Dustin Kimura (11-2) out Chris Beal (9-0) now faces Tateki Matsuda (10-5) at UFC Fight Night 50

August 29- Hours before weigh-ins Henry Cejudo has withdrawn from his UFC debut against Scott Jorgensen after medical problems arose during weight cutting.

August 29- Weight cutting issues or a slip in the tub has resulted in Renan Barao (32-2) withdrawn from his UFC 177 main event Bantamweight tile rematch with TJ Dillashaw (10-2) , who will now meet the debuting Joe Soto (15-2) a former Bellator Featherweight champion and Tachi Fight Palace Bantamweight champion. And sad to say this now leaves Former MFC bantamweight champion  Anthony Birchak off the card.

August 29- UFC announces Barao will have to fight again before getting another title shot after this late withdrawal. The UFC has also announced that Henry Cejudo is still a member of the promotion but is now a Bantamweight (135) and not a Flyweight (125).
