Soto & Quintana Battle for First Budweiser Belt at Genesis
During the Triple A MMA IX: Rock Solid event it was announced that the main event of Triple A MMA X: Genesis, on November the 8th will see Luttrell’s MMA’s Andres “The Bullet” Quintana (7-1) collide with undefeated Texan Thomas Soto (5-0) in the first ever Triple A MMA title bout.
The winner of the November 8th main event at theMcKernan Event Center (913 Sunset Rd Sw 87105) will be crowned awarded the first Budweiser champion belt, this one being in the Featherweight (145 lbs.) division.
Quintana was expected to fight at Rock Solid, but had two opponents withdraw for separate reasons. “The Bullet” has won 7 in a row all by knock out and is coming off a Triple A MMA V: Redemption at the Rock TKO of Derek Perez. Quintana grow up boxing in Roswell and moved to Rio Rancho to chase glory, his first world title bout in 5 weeks time.
Soto a vet of King of the Cage and the World Fighting Federation started his pro MMA career with a rear naked choke of Donnie Plumly. Most recently Soto submitted Joey Miolla by armbar. Sot’s 3 fights in between those two have all went the distance with Soto winning twice unanimously, and once by split decision.
