Updated Card for Triple A MMA IV: Rock Solid
24 days away and Orthrus Promotions has sent out an update on how the September 27th Triple A MMA IV: Rock Solid card is shaping up. Injuries have reared their ugly heads but we have hungry replacements and 7 new bouts announced with more to come. The nights main event is still scheduled to see the main event that had been announced for Triple A MMA VII: Rock Stars, with Santa Fe Muay Thia’s Natalie Roy (2-0) vs. Jackson/Winkeljohn’s Nohime Dennison (1-1). A bout that Dennison had to withdraw from due to a suspension from the New York Athletic Commission from a Boxing match earlier in the same month.
Roy at Triple A MMA VII: Rock Stars took on and TKO”ed short notice replacement Brittany Horton in 32 seconds. Dennison has not competed in MMA since a 2011 unanimous decision win over Lynae Lovato. Dennison has kept busy being in the boxing ring going 1-2-1 in 4 fight over the last 3 years.
The co-main event, pits Andres “The Bullet” Quintana against Ed Tomaselli, who is serving as replacement for the injured Javier Minjarez . Quintana has won 7 fights in a row all by (T)KO, including a 1st round TKO of Derek Perez at Triple A MMA V: Redemption at the Rock. Tomaselli a 10 year MMA vet will be looking to end a 8 fight skid and play the roll of spoiler against one of the southwest top UFC prospects.

At Bantamweight coming off submitting Derek Perez with a guillotine at Triple A MMA XII: Rock Stars, Lovato’s Total Fitness’s Russell Wilson tangles with Jonathan Lopez who is replacing Johann Perez. Plain-view Texas’s Lopez is a 23 year old Legacy vet who is 1-4 in his last 5 and will be looking to end a 2 fight skid.
At Lightweight after 1 amateur fight Isaac Barnes, now a member of the Warriors Academy will make his pro debut against Santa Fe BJJ’s Joel Whitney, will be moving up 2 weight classes, coming off a pro debut unanimous decision loss to Stephen Cervantes at Triple A MMA V: Redmeption at the Rock.
At Flyweight fighting for the first time as a member of Luttrell’s MMA, 19 year old, Jerome Rivera coming off submitting Levi Lucero at Triple A MMA V: Redmeption at the Rock,in his pro debut, clashes with Joseph Veloz who unsuccessfully made his pro debut in July being submitted by Johnny Guillen at King of the Cage “Rise”; via armbar.
