Palhares vs. Fitch Headlines WSOF 16

Set for Dec. 13 WSOF 16, will see American Kickboxing Acadmey’s Jon Fitch (26-6-1) challenge Team Nogueira’s Rousimar Palhares (16-6) for the WSOF Welterweight championship.

Fitch has bounced back from consecutive losses to Demian Maia and Josh Burkman to defeat Marcelo Alfaya and Dennis Hallman both by decision.

Palhares a leg lock submission specialist was released from the UFC 2013 for holding on to a heel hook of Mike Pierce passed the tap and had to have the ref PULL them apart. Palhares then signed with WSOF and submitted Steve Carl in his promotional debut to take the WSOF Welterweight championship.
