The most anticipated New Mexico boxing match in recent memory will have to take place another day as news has broke that “El Puma” Cristian Cabral (6-1-1, 3 KO) has had to withdraw from facing Josh “Pitbull” Torres (13-3-2, 6 KO) at the Battle at 5 Points; due to a chipped bone on one of his knuckles.

The Nov. 15 event at the McKernan event center will still see Josh “Pitbull” Torres in the main event. The promotion is currently in search of a replacement. Torres is coming off fighting Jose Marrufo to a draw after 8-rd’s. on Aug. 30.

There had been a rumor circling around that Jose Marrufo vs. Josh Torres II, would be taking place Nov. 15, but that has turned out to just be a rumor as Jose Marrufo (4-2-2,) is already scheduled to fight that same night in Phoenix, Arizona; according to his promoter.

No official word on this matter has been given by the promoter.
