Triple A MMA X: Genesis, Line Up, Update & Weigh-in Invite

Injury has changed the complexion of the Triple A MMA X: Genesis co-main event, originally scheduled to be a Bantamweight bout between Isaiah Reyes (7-5) and Russell Wilson (3-3).

Wilson has been forced to withdraw from the bout due to a cut sustained in training.

Now facing Fit NHB’s, Isaiah Reyes is Perez Fighting Systems, Derek Perez (1-3), and the bout will be contested at Featherweight. Talk about a complete opposite Reyes had expected to face a wrestler with a good submission game; but will instead now face a fighter with pro boxing experience an a underrated submission game. Reyes will be looking to end a skid, that has seen 3 straight decision losses, while Perez who is coming off a submission loss to Russell Wilson, will be looking to end a 2 fight skid.

Former King of the Cage Welterweight champion “Wild” Bill Albrecht (21-14) has been matched against Mexico’s Alvaro Herrera (6-1), who’s training out of the Jackson’s/ Winkeljohn’s gym. Albrecht will be looking to end a 3 fight losing streak and to return to his championship form. Alvaro has not fought in 26 months. Alvaro last fought in August of 2012 scoring his 3^rd career victory by submission, forcing Jorge Campos to tap, to a guillotine choke.

The Triple A MMA X: Genesis weight-ins will be on Friday, November 7^th, at 2:00 p.m. MST at Barcelona Suites of Albuquerque (900 Louisiana Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110).

Triple A MMA X: Genesis takes place on Saturday, November 8, at the McKernan Event Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico; and is headlined by Andres “The Bullet” Quintana battling Thomas Soto for the inaugural Triple A MMA Featherweight title. The doors at the McKernan Center will open at 6 pm MT, with the 1^st bell at 7pm MT.
