Fit NHB, A Part of Mosley Showdown Super Brawl Showdown

This Friday, January 30, Sugar Shane Mosley Promotions presents “Super Brawl Showdown” featuring Joe “Daddy” Stevenson (31-15) vs. Dominique Robinson (8-4-2), at the Phoenix Zoo, in Phoenix Arizona; kicks off a super weekend of action.

Stevenson the former UFC Lightweight World Champion will return to action for the first time in two and a half years, re-energized and looking to snap a 5 fight skid. Robinson last fought in August of 2013, scoring a 1st round knock out of Tommy Truex.

The co-main event is a true battle of veterans as Shonie Carter (50-30-7, 11 KO 15 sub) tangles with Shannon Ritch (53-76, 44 sub).

Fit NHB is going to have busy weekend with 3 fighters taking part in the Showdown.

Fit NHB’s Brenda “Boom Boom” Gonzlaes (5-2), a former King of the Cage champion will be back in the cage taking on Invicta FC vet Lacey “The Ladie” Sckuckman (10-7). Gonzales after over a year away from the cage due to dealing with an elbow injury and taking a pair of Boxing matches, submitted Heather Bassett at RFA 18. Most recently Gonzales took an on short notice fight against Colleen Schneider at Super Fight League 35, and lost a 5-round unanimous decision. Schukmman, since losing both her bouts inside the Invicta FC cage, has won 3 of 4, including submitting Jody Lynn Reicher and Melissa Myers.

Fit NHB’s Thomas Schulte (20-10) faces Nick Rhoads (47-2). Schulte last January fought for the first time in 3 years droping a unanimous decision to Jerrod Sanders. Schulte is a submission specialist with 19 of 20 wins by submission. Apex MMA’s Rhoads has won 4 fights in a row including consecutive unanimous decision wins over Jacob Devree, Conrad Padilla, and Nick Piedmont.

Also fighting out the Wild Bunch is Evan DeLong (13-8) who will be meeting Kamuela Kirk (2-0), who has scored consecutive 1st round wins by triangle choke over Jose Carajal and Cody Huard. DeLong, who has 10 wins by submission is 6-2 in his last but has lost 2 of 3 and is coming off a TKO loss at RFA 18 to Mehdi Baghdad.

Also coming off a RFA 18, Steve Hanna (4-2) faces King of the Cage vet Richard Solis (5-4-1). At Heavyweight Ashley Gooch (6-4) clashes with Lance Friedenstein (5-1). And the final two match-ups on the card pit James Chaney (8-60 vs. Jimmy Scully (2-1) and Daniel James (1-0) vs. Jason Walraven (6-4).
