Bellator MMA has announced two additions to the main card of Bellator 135 which takes place on Friday March 27th, at the Winstar World Casino and Resort; and is topped by Marcos Galvao challenging Joe Warren for the Bellator Bantamweight title.
At Light Heavyweight UFC vet Francis“Limitless” Carmont (22-10) meets Brazil’s Guilherme Viana (6-1) and at Lightweight well traveled fighters Ryan Courture (9-3) and Dakota Cochrane (18-7) tangle.
Carmont, a protege of Gorges St. Pierre has lost 3 in a row to Ronaldo Souza (UD), CB Dollaway (UD), and Thales Leites (KO); which followed a 11 fight win streak. Viana is a TUF Brazil season 3 alum who is on a 3 fight win streak with a pair of TKO’s and a submission in that span.
Couture has won 3 fights in a row all by rear naked choke, including a Bellator 128 1st round win over Tommy Bagnasco, since consecutive losses in the UFC to Ross Pearson and Al Iaquinta. Cochrane has won 3 of his last 5 fights, including a 43 second knock out of Ted Worthington in December 5th, 2014. Cochrane also holds recent wins over UFC vets Efrain Escudero and Anton Kuivanen.
