Bellator Unfinished Business headlined by Kimbo Slice vs Ken Shamrock

Bellator MMA has announced that June 20th will be “Unfinished Business” headlined by a Heavyweight clash between Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson (4-2) & Ken Shamrock (28-15-2).

These men had originally been scheduled to meet over 6 years ago at EliteXC “Heat”, but in warm ups Shamrock would suffer a cut over his eye that would force him out of the bout; and last second replacement Seth Petruzelli would go on to knock out Ferguson in 14 seconds.

Ferguson a alum of TUF season now will be fighting in MMA for the first since a UFC 113 knock out loss to Matt Mitrione. After the loss “Kimbo Slice” decided to try boxing and to this point is undefeated (7-0, 6 KO’s). Ferguson awas last in the ring in January of 2013 in Australia, scoring a 2nd round knock out of Shane Tilyard. Ferguson now 41 years old and training with American Top Team is ready to make a 2nd go of MMA.

Shamrock, a pioneer of MMA is now 51 years old, returning to action for the first time in 4 and half years. Shamrock last fought at King of the Cage: Platinum, in November of 2010, losing by 1st round TKO to Mike Bourke. A month prior to that was Shamrock’s last win a unanimous decision over Johnathan Ivey. Bellator MMA and Shamrock are said to have agreed on a multi-fight deal.

Bellator “Unfinished Business” will be on June 20th, at the Scottrade Center in St.Louis Missouri.
