US Army vet Frank “The Tank” Lester, who’s also an alum of TUF season 9 will make his Sparta Combat League debut in a Middleweight Title fight against reigning champion Adam Stroup on April 25th.
The challenger Frank Lester of Jackson/Wink MMA and Luttrell’s MMA in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is undefeated in his last 5. During these last 5 fights Lester has showed off a complete mixed martial arts game scoring TKO wins over Beau King and Caleb Bell, while Sandor Sarbia and Randy McCarty both tapped to the head and arm choke.
The champion Adam Stoup (8-1) of Littleton, Colorado, and FactoryX Muay Thia, is on a 7 fight win streak. The last 3 wins have all come by TKO, twice stopping Jason Lee; and most recently finishing Justin Guthrie in under 3 minutes. Prior to this run of TKO’s Stoup had all 3 of his stoppage win by way of submission.
