Bellator 136 adds 5 Bouts Including Held vs Sarnavskiy

The Line for Bellator’s April 10th “Brooks vs Jansen” event continues to grow with today’s announcement of 5 additions including a Lightweight bout of Poland’s Marcin Held (20-3) vs. Russia’s Alexander “Tiger” Sarnavskiy (30-2); which will be part of the main card.

Held is Bellator’s the last Lightweight tournament winner and has won 10 of his last 11. Held is on a 5 fight win streakdefeating Ryan Healy (KO), Rodrigo Cavalheiro Correia (SUB), Derek Anderson (SUB), Nate Jolly (SUB), and Patricky reire (UD). Held has 11 of 15 stoppage wins by submission.

Sarnavskiy has also won 10 of his last 11 fight and 5 in a row. “Tiger” has defeated Alexander Butenko (UD), Yukinari Tamura (SUB), Drew Brokenshire (SUB), Dave Cochrane (SUB), and Artak Nazaryan (KO) consecutively. Sarnavskiy has 18 of 25 stoppage wins by submission.

These next 4 match-ups will all be part of the Bellator 136 prelims.

At Bantamweight Former King of the Cage champion, Jared “The Jackhammer” Papazian (18-11) coming off a unanimous decisionw in over Ara Muradyan, collides with Raja Shippen (14-9-1) of the Reign Training Center, who’s coming off a submission loss to Carl Uno; which ended a 11 fight win streak.

Making his debut at 185 lbs. Joey Beltran (15-11) faces Brian Rogers (11-7). Both men have lost 3 of 4. When either man wins it’s usually exciting, Beltran has 11 wins by knock out while Rogers 9 wins by knock out.

Saad Awad (17-6), of Millennia MMA, is has scored back to back wins over Joe Duarte (TKO) and Sergio Rios (UD), tangles with Manchester England’s, Rob “C4” Sinclair (12-2), who’s won 5 fights in a row, including 4 knock outs in a row; and most recently taking a split decision from Andre Winner.

At Flyweight coming off a Bellator 131 split decision win over Ron Henderson, Jonathan Santa Maria (3-0), of the Reign Training Center, squares off with Steve Ramirez (0-1) who lost his pro debut to Ramos Cruz by split decision.

Bellator 136 is on April 10th, at the Bren Events Center in Irvine, California; and is headlined by Dave Jansen challenging Will Brooks for the Bellator Lightweight title.
