The long awaited return to the octagon for”The Natural Born” Carlos Condit (29-8) will take place May 30th against fellow former title challenger Thiago “Pitbull” Alves in the main event of UFC Fight Night 67, in Brazil.
Condit is a Jackson-Wink fighter and former interim UFC and WEC Welterweight champion who was last in action at UFC 171, when he blow out his knee and was no longer able to continue, giving Tyron Woodley a 2nd round TKO victory. A bout prior Condit ended 2 fight skid with a 4th round TKO of Martin Kampmann.
American Top Teams, Alves spent from April 2012 to early 2014 sidelined with an assortment of injuries. In April of 2014 Alves returned to action defeating Seth Baczynski by unanimous decision. Alves followed that up with a TKO win over Jordan Mein.
