On Friday, April 10th Resurrection Fighting Alliance will be in the Mount Rushmore State with RFA 25 at Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Fall, South Dakota; with the RFA Featherweight and Middleweight titles on the line.
In the main event undefeated Sam “Super” Toomer (9-0) fighting out of the Arena, challenges TUF 15 alum Justin “The American Kid” Lawrence (6-2) fighting out of the Black House, for the RFA Featherweight.Lawrence is 2-0 in RFA with decisions win over Luis Saldana and over Mark Dickman, at RFA 17 when Lawrence claimed the then vacant RFA Featherweight title. Toomer is also 2-0 in RFA with a DQ due to timidity win over Daniel Aguiar and a decision win over Altair Alencar.
In the nights co feature the vacant RFA Middleweight title is up for grabs when Gabriel “Zangief” Checco (8-1) of Extreme Couture squares off with Francisco “Kiko” France of Power MMA (11-3-1). Checco will be fighting for the RFA 185 lbs. championship for the 2nd time. The 1st time Checco lost to Jake Collier by 1st round submission; Collier immediately was signed by the UFC making the title again vacant. Checco rebound at RFA 23 with a 1st round TKO of Joseph Henle. France is on a 3 fight win streak and in the RFA octagon has submitted Isaac Appel via kimura and Mikey Gomez via head-n-arm choke.
Former King of the Cage champion Abel “The Silent Assasssin” Cullum (20-6) will make his Flyweight debut against Josh “The Rage” Rave (21-11). Cullum since returning from a 3 year hiatus from the sport is 2-0 at Bantamweight in RFA having submitted Ulysses Gomez and Carl Deaton. Rave eill be making his RFA debut with the momentum of back to back wins over Nate Williams (TKO) and Corey Ulmer (SD).
