Bellator 145 “Vengeance” Features 2 Championship Bouts

Bellator MMA will be returning to the Scottrade Center in St Louis, Missouri on November 6^th for Bellator 145 ‘Vengeance” featuring the Featherweight & Lightweight titles on the line.

In the main event for the 3^rd time Daniel Straus (23-6) and Patricio “Pitbull” Freire (24-2) will do battle; for the 2^nd time the Bellator Featherweight Championship will be on the line. In this series Freire is up 2-0 with a Bellator 45 unanimous decision win and a Bellator 132 4^th round submission. Overall “Pitbull” has won 7 in a row, coming off his 2^nd successful title defense a Bellator 138, 2^nd round knock out of Daniel Weichel. Straus a former Bellator featherweight champion is 8-2 in his last 10. Straus rebounded from the Bellator 132 loss, with a Bellator 138 2^nd round submission of the previously undefeated Henry Corrales.

The co-main event will see the last Bellator Lightweight tournament winner Marcin Held (21-3) challenging “Ill” Will Brooks (16-1) for the Bellator Lightweight Championship. Held has won 6 in a row with 4 stoppages including submitting Derek Anderson, Nate Jolly, and Alexander Sarnavskiy. Brooks who’s won 7 straight, won the  title, by split decision, as a late replacement for Eddie Alvarez, against Micheal Chandler at Bellator 120. Since then Brooks has defended the title against Chandler in a rematch at Bellator 131, winning by 4^th round TKO; and by unanimous decision over Dave Jensen at Bellator 136.
