Marcos Glavos’s (17-6-1) first title defense will come against from protege and familiar foe Eduardo Dantas (17-4) on October 23 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
These two have met and fought for the Bellator Bantamweight back at Bellator 89 with Dantas coming in and walking out with the title and a 2nd round win by knock out.
Galvao since the loss has won 4 in a row including defeating Joe Warren by submission with a knee bar at Bellator 135 to capture the 135 lbs. championship. The win streak has also seen Galvao stop Shely Santana and Tom McKenna with TKO’s.
Dantas has won 3 over 4 with a knock out of Marcos Galvao, a submission of Anthony leone, which were both title defense; Dantas then lost the title dropping a unanimous decision to Joe Warren at Bellator 128. Most recently Dantas got back on track with a unanimous decision win over the haevy hand former Marine Mike Richman.
