Kevin Croom heads to Dagestan for Sept. 25th Clash with Rasul Mirzaev

On September 25th “The Hard Hitting Hillbilly” Kevin Croom (15-6)  will be back in the cage around the world in Dagestan Russia, against undefeated Rasul “Black Tiger” Mirzaev (12-0).

Croom has won 9 of his last 10 MMA bouts and has also competed in Boxing 5 times over the last 10 months. Croom’s last MMA fight was 7 months ago when “The Hard Hitting Hillbilly” scored a1st round knock out of Jacob Akin, rebounding from a MFC 40 split decision loss to Jesse Brock. Croom has 8 of 12 stoppage wins by submission. Croom will also be in action this weekend August 29th in El Paseo, Texas boxing.

Croom had this to say about travailing to Russia “as far as fighting him at home that just means I get a free trip around the world and That I have to finish the fight, for me to win I have to put him to sleep.”

Mirzaev, a Sambo master, who was at one time signed to Bellator, but was released from the promotion after a bar fight led to a young mans death. Mirzaev got into a an argument with a college student, punched the student who in falling hit his head on the pavement and day later passed away. Inside the cage Mirzaev has 6 wins in the first round and 5 of 8 stoppage wins by knock out, with 3 of his last 4 wins coming by knock out.
