November 13th, at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Legacy brings together their Fighting Championships and Kickboxing branches for a co-promotional event “Legacy FC 48” featuring 2 title bouts.
The evening featured attraction will see Ryan “Superman” Spann (6-1) challenging Leonardo Leite (6-0) for the Legacy FC Middleweight title. Spann has won 2 straight including a 8 second knock out of Larry Crowe at Legacy FC 42. Leite has fought twice in Legacy and holds 2 titles in the promotion. At Legacy FC 35 with a 4th round TKO of Myron Dennis Leite won the Legacy FC Light Heavyweight title and followed that up with a Legacy FC 39 2nd round TKO of Larry Crowe, to win the Legacy FC Middleweight title.
On the Kickboxing side of the card the inaugural LK Light Heavyweight champion will be crowned after the conclusion of a 4-man tournament. The semifinals will see Brian Colette against Manny Mancha and Myron Dennis faces Andres Van Engelen. In a tournament reserve bout Chris Trammell squares off with Matt Baker.
In all the AXS Tv main card will show case 4 MMA bout and 3 Kickboxing matches. In the MMA realm Kolton Englund (2-1) meets Cage Duhon (4-2) and Joel Scott (4-3) tangles with Trent Meaux (1-1). Josh Quayhagen is also expected to fight on the televised portion of the card, but is awaiting an opponent.
