TUF 22 Finale adds Sanchez vs. Scoggins & Bektic vs. Kawajiri

A pair of additions have been added to the TUF 22 Finale with Jackson-Wink Flyweight Joby Sanchez (7-1) squaring off with American Top Team’s Justin Scoggins (10-2) and American Top Team’s undefeated Mirsad Bektic (10-0) faces Japan’s Tatsuya “Crusher” Kawajiri (34-8-2).

Joby Sanchez went 6-0 with 2 knock outs and 3 submission before getting the call to the UFC. 1-1 in 2 trips into the octagon Sanchez is coming off a January split decision win over Tateki Matsuda, rebounding from a promotional debut unanimous decision loss to Wilson Reis. Scoggins is 3-2 in the UFC a TKO of Richie Vaculik, and unanimous decision wins over Will Campuzano and Josh Sampo (most recent win), on either side of back to back losses to Dustin Ortiz (sd) and John Moraga (sub).

Mirsad Bektic is 3-0 in the UFC with decision wins over Chas Skelly and Paul Redmond. Most recently Betick scored his 5th win by knock out with a 2nd round TKO of Lucas Marints. Kawajiri made his pro debut when Bektic was 13 years old. The veteran fighter who’s fought for a slew of promotions has won 7 of 8 coming off a January unanimous decision win over Dennis Siver, rebounding from a April 2014 unanimous decision loss to Clay Guida, which ended a 6 fight win streak.

The TUF 22 Finale takes place on December 11th in Las Vegas, Nevada; and is headlined by Frankie Edgar vs. Chad Mendes.
