Just over 4 weeks after reaching a plea agreement to stay out of jail, the UFC has announced that JacksonWink fighter, former Light Heavyweight World Champion, Jon “Bones” Jones (21-1) has been reinstated, effectively immediately.

Back in April Jones was involved in a hit and run incident that left a pregnant woman with a broken arm. Jones was then striped of the world title and suspended in definitely. With the plea agreement will see Jones serve a 18-months on probation and do 72 community service appearances.

“We’ve made it clear to Jon that this new opportunity to compete in UFC is a privilege and not a right, and that there are significant expectations we have regarding his conduct moving forward,” said UFC Chairman and CEO Lorenzo Fertitta. “We’re happy to read and see reports that he has embraced the terms of his plea agreement and is using this experience to grow and develop as a person.”

“I am thankful to be able to do what I love once again and I look forward to proving myself as a champion in and outside of the Octagon,” Jones said.

This news come with no talk of when Jones will be back in action in the octagon.
