The Octagon is set up in the 3 A Arena in Leinster, Ireland for UFC Fight Night 76 headlined by a Flyweight battle between Ireland’s Patrick Holohan against Hawaiian Louis Smolka.

Holohan is 3-1 in the UFC with consecutive decision wins over Shane Howell and Vaughan Lee. Smolka is also 3-1 in the octagon, with a knock out of Richie Vaculik and most recently a UFC 189, unanimous decision win over Neil Seery.

Garreth McLellan (12-3) vs. Bubba Bush (8-2)
Commentary: Bush got the take down and grinned out the 1st round. Thanks to a cage grab McLellan got top position and used his ground and pound to control the 2nd. In the 3rd an exhausted Bush, found himself on his back and Mcllean got the ref to step in thanks to ground and pound with 2 seconds left on the clock in the 3rd.
Winner- Garreth McLellan via TKO (punches) 4:58 R3

 

Darren Elkins (18-5) vs. Robert Whiteford (12-2)
Commentary: Elkins went forward put the pressure on hit take downs and event had the back in the 2 & 3 rounds; en route to grinding out Whiteford fro the decision win.
Winner- Darren Elkins via (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) unanimous decision

 

Cathal Pendred (17-3-1) vs. Tom Breese (8-0)
Commentary: Precision punching from Breese. The straight left of Breese, broke Pendred nose early. Breese backed Pendred up to the cage fire away with the left dropping the Irishman and the Englishman would finish out with a few hammer fists.
Winner- Tom Breese via TKO (punches) 4:37 R1

 

Scott Askham (13-1) vs. Krzysztof Jotko (15-1)
Commentary: Jotko got the take-down in the 1st and with his elbows busted up Askham. Askham came back in the 2nd showing off his kicking arsenal highlighted by a push kick that landed to Jotko’s face. Jotko was the more active striker and landed in top position during a scramble in the 3rd. Askham fell short with his punches in the final frame.
Winner- Krzysztof Jotko via (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) split decision

 

Aisling Daly (15-6) vs. Ericka Almedia (7-1)
Commentary Daly & Almedia went right into the clinch exchanging short punches and knee. Daly took the round with a late take-down and some ground and pound. They went right back into the clinch in the 2nd with Daly scoring a take-down early getting reversed an spending the last 2 minutes of the 2nd fight off the rear naked choke. In the 3rd Daly off a Judo thro put Almedia on her back. Daly from there would stand over Almedia punching her calf and to the body, while Almedia scored dame with some nasty up-kicks. They would stay in this position for the final 2 plus minutes of the fight.
Winner- Aisling Daly via (30-27, 29-27, 29-28) unanimous decision

 

Steven Ray (18-5) vs. Mickael Lebout (14-4-1)
Commentary: The stright left of ray’s was money busting up Lebout around both eyes. Ray also got off some nice knees in the clinch while controlling pace and distance of the fight.
Winner- Steven Ray via (29-28, 30-27, 30-27) unanimous decision

 

Neil Seery (15-11) vs. Jon delos Reyes (8-4)
Commentary: In the 1st Seery landed several big overhand rights and pushed the pace. Delos Reyes hit a take-down, but had to stand to escape an armbar. Reyes did connect with a few hard knee to Seery’s body. Serry in the 2nd jumped on a guillotine, Reyes escaped took the back. Seery shook Reyes off. They exchanged big shot on the feet, Reyes again landed some nice knees to the body then got on the inside for a take-down. Seery again jumped on a guillotine and this time got the tap.
Winner- Neil Seery via submission (guillotine choke) 4:12 R2

 

Nicolas Dalby (14-0) vs. Darren Till (13-0)
Commentary: Till landed some huge kicks from his southpaw stance in the 1st and score a knock-down with a step in left uppercut. The 2nd saw Till keep his distance, defend take-downs and land the cleaner strikes. Dalby in the 3rd hit a pair of take-downs and land 3 multi punch unanswered combinations along the cage, with Till in survival mode. (Should be Fight of the Night).
Result- (29-28 Till, 28-28, 28-28) majority draw

 

Norman Parke (20-4-1) vs. Reza Madadi (13-3)
Commentary: Parke picked at Madadi with his strikes, peppering away with punches, his the body his knees, and throwing the high kicks most getting arm. Madadi would constantly look for the take-down being momentarily successful only once. Parke also got his own slight take-down. Maddadi would not back down and kept firing but was unable to land with power or on a constant basis. The left of Parke would cause dame to MAdadi’s left eye .
Winner- Norman Parke via (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) unanimous decision

 

Patrick Holohan (12-1-1) vs. Louis Smolka (9-1)
Commentary: Holohan out the gate gto in on a take-down, scored it and from there it was a minutes scramble fest with twist turns and transitions. Smolka in the final minute landed a high kick and several hard left hooks. Holohan ate some strikes in the 2nd got a take-down, took the back, Smolka turned into the guard landed some shot. Smolka got back to his feet Holohan charged into a guillotine choke, fell on his back to escape the choke, ate heavy ground and pound gave up his back. Smolka then lock up the RNC for the win.
