Steel Dragon Fight Co “Evolution” Results
We’re live inside the Alamogordo Civic Center as Steel Dragon Fight Co presents “Evolution”, a night of amateur Boxing and KickBoxing.
Bout number 1, KickBoxing: Ryan Davila vs. Charls Lee
Summary- Rd one teep kick and a stiff jab had Ryan controlling the action. Rd 2 was much better for Charles who was able to start throwing his power, including a stiff left and a solid superman punch. Ryan did land several hard leg kicks but backed up much of the round. Rd3 the first minute was controlled by Ryan with hard strikes and aggressiveness. Charles came back in the laster half of the round with overhands rights. (close fight)
Winner- Ryan Davila via decision
Bout number 2, KickBoxing:Julian Edelbrock vs. Seth Abeita
Summary- Abeita went forward winging big left hooks and right uppercuts forcing the ref to step in and wave it off with Edelbrock against the ropes taking abuse and not responding.
Winner: Seth Abeita via 1st rd TKO (ref stoppage)
Bout number 3, KickBoxing : David Roybal vs. David Hudson
Smmary: Hudson came out throwing combinations leading with the hands and ending with the leg kick. Roybal was all forward motion with big hooks. The pressure of Roybal had Hudson bacing up and looking for an answer. The answer would come in the 2nd as Roybal would slow and Hudson would stat to land to the chin with Roybal several times hving to find his balence and even once Roybal shot for a take-down. The corner would call off the bout as Roybal looked exhausted and had to be helped to the lockerroom.
Winner: David Hudson via 3rd Rd TKO (corner stoopage)
Bout number 4, KickBoxing: Stetson Lewis vs.. Brandon Towsend
Summary: Lewis came out like a house on fire. Throwing big hooks looking for the KO with every punch. Towsend tried to stay long but was as active. The 2nd saw Towsend keeping the range much better and even landing a few kicks. The hard shots and the more landed punches again came from Lwis with big wnging hooks. The 3rd saw Lewis lose point for continually illegally catching kicks. Towsend threw flashy kicks but was coming up short. Lewis charging forward making the bout a brawl winning rounds with acvitiy. Rd 4 Lewis would have a 2nd point taken for catching kicks. Towsend would knock down Lewis with a hard leg kick. Lewis then walked right into a right hand, hit the mat and couldn’t get bck to his feet.
Winner: Brandon Towsend via 4th Rd TKO
Bout number 5: Anthony Nevarez vs. Chris Rojas
Summary: Nevarez had the more diverse attack using his right overhand, right uppercut, and right kick to the body. Rojas focused on his hands and the occasional leg kick. Rd2 Rojas working a jab – straight combo, lands a left head kick scoring a knock down. 30 seconds later Nevarez take a kick right to the cup. 3rd Rd Nevarez lands a head kick, Rojas eats it stays standing and answers with another high left head kick soring the 2nd knock down for Rojas. 4th both mn are exhausted leaning on each other and swing with all they got taking turns landing hooks to eacher other’ face. Rojas scores a knock down with a teap to the liver. 5th Rojas nearly takes Nevarez head gear off with a right hook. They collide Nevarez is hit in the body and goes down for the final time.
Winner: Chris Rojas vis 5th Rd TKO.
