Global Expansion Begins, Bellator 152 in Italy
Bellator MMA and Oktagon KickBoxing League, have announced a co-promotional event, Bellator 152; for April 16th, in Pala Alpitour, Torino, Italy. This will be Bellator MMA’s first venture outside of North America; a global introduction to the product if you will.
The first official bout for the event will pit Bellator vet Brain Rogers (12-8) against Italy’s own Alessio Sakara (17-11), a UFC vet. Back in December, Rogers made his Light Heavyweight debut at Bellator 147 submitting Virgil Zwicker, with and arm-triangle choke in the 2nd round. Sakara is coming off a September 2015, 1st round TKO of Dib Akil, which ended a 5 fight windless streak.
In addition undefeated prospect AJ McKee (3-0) will face Danilo Belluardo (5-1). As a pro Mckee has not seen a 2nd round with 2 knock outs and rear naked choke ending thing early. Belluardo has won 5 straight, with 2 TKO’s, a submission, and the last 2 both oging to the decision.
Undefeated Russian, Anastasia Yankova (2-0) will make her Bellator debut against a opponent to be named.
The KickBoxing side of the event will see Glory vet Raymond Daniels, Lion Fights vet Kevin Ross, and knockout artist Melvin Manhoef in action, against opponents to be named.
