Davis vs. Lawal & Chandler vs. Thomson Announced for Bellator 154

The next challenger for Lima McGreary’s Light Heavyweight title will be decided on at Bellator (15-4), when Phil “Mr. Wonderful” Davis (15-3) squares off with with Muhanned “King Mo” Lawal (19-4).

Davis has won 3 of his last 4 and is 2-0 in Bellator, coming off submitting Emanuel Newton and knocking out Francis Carmont at Bellator Dynamite; to win a 4-man Light Heavyweight tournament.

Lawal has won 7 straight, including winning 3 fight in 2 days at the end of 2015, to win the Rizin Heavyweight tournament.

This fight was originally going to take place in the tournament finals at Bellator 142, but Lawal was forced to withdraw due to a rib injury.

Also on May 14th, in the co-main event former Bellator Lightweight champion Michael Chandler (14-2) will take on former Strikeforce Lightweight champion Josh Thomson (22-8-0,1 nc). Chandler is coming off back to back wins over Derek Campos (sub) and David Rickles (tko). Thomson is also on a 2 fight win streak, with his wins coming over Mike Bronzoulis (sub) and Palbo Villaseca (tko).

Bellator 154 is on May 14th at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.

It’s also been announced this week that Bellator will be starting to promote Kickboxing; Bellator Kickboxing.
