Following last night news that Tim Means has been removed from UFC Fight Night 83, the UFC has now announced that Alex “Cowboy” Oliveira (13-3-1) will step in against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone (28-7).

Oliveira has won 6 of his last 7 fights and is on a 3 fight win streak, that includes submitting KJ Noons and knocking out Piotr Hallman. Cerrone is 8-2 in his last 10 fights and will be looking to rebound from a TKO loss to Rafael dos Anjos, that ended a 8 fight win streak. The fight will still be a 5-rounder.

Tim Means was pulled from the card for a potential anti-doping violation to do with “ostarine”. Means is currently in the process of having a 2nd sample tested. The eye of the MMA world will be glued to see the out come of this situation.
