Weigh-in Alert & Finalized Fight Card for Jackson’s MMA Series XVII
Everyone’s invited up to Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino on Friday afternoon for the Jackson’s MMA Series XVII weigh-in’s.
Once inside the casino, you’ll head to Club Shadeh, where the weigh-in’s will begin at 2 pm. The finalize fight card is below with 8 amateur bouts kicking off the night and 2 professional contests round out the show.
The main event pits JacksonWink fighter Nick Urso against Luttrell/Yee fighter Jordan Espinosa. Urso who splits his time between working with the JacksonWink camp here in Albuquerque and in Chicago working with Izzy Style Wrestling, has 5 wins by stoppage with 3 coming via submission. Urso will be main event-ing a Jackson MMA Series card for the 2nd time, having defeated Josh Montoya via unanimous decision, last February. After that Urso-Montoya fight is when Espinosa a former teammate of Montoya’s started calling out Uros on social media. Espinosa is on a 3 fight win streak and is coming off his 5th career win via submission; submitting Jordan Morales with a Barbo choke nearly a year ago.
The amateur side of the card will be featuring 5 undefeated fighters and our 2015 amateur of the year Jess Tafoya; plus 4 young men will make their amateur debuts.
