Bellator Announces Dynamite 2 for June 24th
For the 2nd time Bellator MMA will be part of a joint MMA & Kickboxing event, but instead of partnering with Glory, it will be Bellator Kickboxing presenting the action in the ring, June 24th, in St. Louis, Missouri.
The first official bout, is the main event which will see a 215 lbs. Catchweight bout between Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (36-11) and Satoshi Ishii (14-5-1).
Jackson is a former Pride and UFC champion, who in January of 2013, after a 3fight losing streak parted ways with the UFC and signed with Bellator. Jackson then won 3 straight including a TKO of Joey Beltran and a knock out of Christian M’Pumbu. The after a legal battle with Bellator, “Rampage” returned to the UFC and defeated Fabio Maldonado via unanimous decision. After another legal battle, Jackson is returning to Bellator MMA.
Ishii was a 2008 Judo Olympic gold medalist, who’s won 2 of his last 3 fights, with submission wins over Nick Rossborough and William Penn, but will be looking to, in this his Bellator debut, rebound from a Rizin FF decision loss to Jiri Prochazka.
