In June Brenda Gonzales-Means looks for her 3rd Pro Championship (Updated)

A former KOTC Jr. Flyweight Champion, Brenda “Boom Boom” Gonzalez-Means (7-2) will be returning to the promotion at King of the Cage “Summer Smash” to challenge undefeated Shanna “The Shanimal” Young (4-0) for the KOTC Flyweight World Championship.

“Boom Boom” is a member of the New Mexico WildBunch and FIT NHB, who also is the Sugar Creek Showdown Bantamweight champion. Gonzales-Means has won 2 in a row both by decision, defeating Invicta FC vet Lacey Schuckman and taking the SCS title from Anita Rodriguez. Gonzalez won her 1st 4 pro bouts, 3 by TKO, inside the KOTC cage and will be returning to the promotion for the 1st time since December 2012.

Virginia native, Shanna Young has fought her last 3 bouts under the KOTC banner, with a majority decision win over Moriel Charneski, a TKO of Christina Jobe, and a split decision win over Pam Sorenson.

KOTC “Summer Smash” takes place on June 25th at the Winna Vegas Casino & Resort in Sloan, Iowa. The card will also feature KOTC amateur Flyweight & Middleweight title on the line.
