Every fighter goal is to become champion. At KOTC Natural Instinct Nicco Montano and Brenda “Boom Boom” Gonzales-Means will both have that opportunity.

Montano will be squaring off with Heather Bassett for the vacant Women’s Jr. Flyweight (125 lbs.) World Title, which was last held by Brenda Gonzales-Means. Montano went 5-0 as an amateur and is 1-1 as a pro, having fought at (135 lbs.). Bassett (4-2) is coming off wins over Taylor Taylor (sub) and Shaena Cox (tko).

Montano says “I’m excited to have a fight, especially having an opportunity to fight for a title, soon after turning pro and for my first cut to 125 lbs.”

Gonzales-Means had been scheduled to face Shanna Young for the Women’s Flyweight World Title on June 25th, but due to injury that was canceled. Now “Boom Boom” and Pam Sorenson will tangle for the Interim Flyweight World Title. Gonzales-Meas is coming off consecutive decision wins over Lacey Schuckman and Anita Rodriguez. Sorenson is 2-1 under the KOTC banner with decision wins over Moriel Charneski and Nicco Montano.

Gonzales-Means says “after so many distractions that we’ve been faced with, I am hungrier than ever! A new fire has been lit and I am focused! I feel the whole concoction we got going is at its best!”

KOTC Natural Instinct is July 30th at the Lake of Torches Resort Casino.
