Via Facebook post Fidel Maldonado Jr. has announced that at July 9th’s Young Guns Main Event he’ll take on Gerardo “Pipino Cuevas Jr.” Cuevas.
The two men combined for 33 knockout wins in 38 combined wins, with Maldonado Jr being (21-3-1, 18 KO’s) & Gerardo Cuevas is (17-16-1, 15 KO’s).
“The Atrisco Kid” is a technical slugger who has 6 of his last 8 win by knockout. Maldonado has won 2 of his last 3 and will be looking to rebound from a controversial split draw with Art Hovhannisyan. This year “Pipino Cuevas Jr.” has fought Alejandro Herrera to a majority draw, but will be looking to rebound from a TKO loss to Emmanuel Robles.
